“Started reading the book and can’t put it down. Really descriptive reading…As a reader I can relate – especially to the places you speak of in Chicago.” - Jennifer LaFene Rowell. “I’ve been sitting here with Nair on my legs for almost an hour b’cuz I can’t put this book down!!!” – Robin Wallace “Thank you for giving me such insight into a woman’s mind.” – Dr. Brian Gantwerker “The book was excellent! I really enjoyed it! Now I have to go to bed, tomorrow morning is very soon.” – Danielle Gutter “Your book is great…I’m really impressed!” – Sylvia Fichthorn “Came home from my massage, curled up wth my dinner and read it straight through.” – Ann Natunewicz “I picked up your book at 11PM…and did not put it down till 1AM.” – Nonna Kofman “You have a way with words.” – Al Yedid “I just finished your book – wonderful!! Liked the ending. ” – Jaimee Mamer “I found it to be very well written and erotic without going over the top.” – Mitch Stecker

The Story

Chicago, mid-90s. Prior to dating websites, chatrooms created a cult-like subculture with people spilling their inner-most thoughts, frustrations and desires to total strangers. Your stranger may be married, divorced, separated or a virgin. You just don’t know until you stop hiding behind the computer screen and brave a reality that isn’t virtual nor real. But you don’t care. Because your own reality isn’t satisfying you. And in the chatroom, you may just meet the perfect stranger, one that will lead you directly into the bedroom.

The Characters

Adara – In her mid-20s, she watches her world fall apart and realizes she’s completely unprepared to deal with the consequences of a false immigrant life. Not feeling at home with the foreign illusions, but not fully grasping the American dream, either, Adara’s path to independence only gets postponed as she runs from an extreme environment to a series of extreme companions.

Thanos – Older than Adara by a decade, the handsome, financially-successful Greek man that Adara first corresponds with months before she actually meets him, takes the young woman as his project. He begins to fill many roles, from a father-figure to lover to teacher of male bahavior. An athiest who would kill his wife before allowing her to leave him, he never threatens Adara, but does introduce her to adult behavior that she has never experienced.

Paul – A young Italian-American man Adara is drawn to. Despite different backgrounds, their lives are quite parallel and there is a mutual attraction. Paul comes from a financially affluent family and is confident at spending money. He appears confident in many ways, but something feels very off with him, something unstable and not kosher. Paul weaves in and out of Adara’s presence, almost as a mirror to her own misgivings.

Aaron – Adara’s childhood friend who is the chorus of the story. Aaron is the only one who knows most of the details that encompass Adara’s life. Her secret life. Aaron somehow managed to escape the immigrant traps and has lived true to himself, not accepting anyone else’s definition of what is allowed, normal or expected. Adara is sometimes jealous of Aaron’s freedom and as she tries to figure out how to make her own soul free, she heavily relies on Aaron, because he is the only one who tells her the unbiased, often painful, truth.

If you do (which you should) you’ll have to put me down for a copy, I want to know what your leading lady is doing now.” – Laura Knapp “I got the book yesterday after work and finished it before bedtime. I couldn’t put it down. BRAVO! What a fun read!” – Kelly Stone “I really enjoyed the Chatroom to Bedroom series and especially liked Rochester, New York.” – Kevin Klepek

The Story

Two weeks prior to the unfathomable tragedy of 9/11, a group of M.B.A. students embark on a two year journey to Rochester, New York, all in the hopes of pursuing an education that will lead them straight to the boardroom with a six-figure plus bonus salary. Women represent a fraction of the student body and quickly learn that for all the progress of the past fifty years, some things never change: sex and money drive the human ego to achieve the impossible, all obstacles be damned.

The Characters

Rebecca, the central character of the book, arrives in Rochester with big dreams, big hopes and a big heart. With little understanding of the real opportunity cost of her desired success she begins to shed her kind skin and, as her focus on the prize compounds, men begin to look like nothing more than tradable commodities.

Julie, Rebecca’s friend, confidant and classmate, experiences her own struggle in business school, as she tries her hardest to balance the pressures of a full time M.B.A., local Eastern European parents and the planning of her forthcoming wedding. Doing her best to put on a happy smile to the rest of the world while feeling torn inside, Julie continues to navigate her own path on an already crowded street.

David, Rebecca’s multi-lingual part brother, part friend, educates anyone around him who will listen on global music, foreign film, Middle East politics and international sports. With an insatiable zest for life matched only by his passion for people, David begins to make Rebecca question her own personal choices.

With an additional cast of characters spanning the globe in thier heritage, strength and history, the M.B.A. students begin to pull together as a family, break each other’s hearts and tap deep within themselves to make sense of the quickly changing and uncertain world around them.
